- Leading strategic improvement projects using various methodology. (e.g. 5Why, FT-DMAIC, Yellow Belt, Green Belt etc)
- Leading loss & waste analysis to provide data & evidence based insights and a clear strategy to prioritise improvements and deliver performance uplift
- Leading, supporting and mentoring Equipment Owners, Engineering team and Team Leaders in Manufacturing Excellence tools, particularly Stop the Stops methodology
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to communicate to all levels across the plant
- Skills to work in a process environment with evidence to demonstrate ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders and cross functional teams to deliver organisational efficiency and improved business performance.
- Have the skills to utilise manufacturing excellence tools and techniques such as 5S, set up time reduction, Lean six sigma, Autonomous and Reliability centred Maintenance.

About this role
The Process Improvement Lead at Shieldhall will work in partnership with our Operations Team to deliver key initiatives to improve business performance. As part of the Spirit Supply Team you will ensure that improvements implemented are standardised and sustained through great relations with Team Leaders across both site and the wider Scotch environment.
You will continually push and be accountable for performance and be a leader in driving significant cost efficiency to drive action and delivery in alignment with the business plans.
You will engage with the daily operational teams and provide analysis of performance improvement opportunities. This will require excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills in order to encourage the teams to deliver extraordinary performance. You will provide mentorship, advice and support to multidisciplinary teams on trouble shooting tools and Lean manufacturing thinking.
