Process Safety Lead Engineer
Drax Power Station

We’re currently recruiting a Process Safety Lead Engineer, to support the continuous improvement of process and technical safety at Drax Power Station.

About the role
Process safety is an essential component of safe and reliable operations. As Process Safety Lead Engineer, you’ll work to set, define, and deliver strategy to meet business and industry requirements.
You’ll provide technical safety and process safety expertise to Drax Power Station for the improvement of process safety, plant integrity, reliability, and statutory & regulatory compliance.
This role is part of our Health, Safety, Environment and Governance department (HSEG), but your work will sit across departments and involve collaboration across Drax. Reporting into to the Governance & Integrity Team Manager, you’ll act as deputy when required.
About you
Ideally, you’ll be qualified to degree level in a related discipline and have experience working as a Process Safety Engineer or Lead Process Safety Engineer. You’ll need a broad understanding of all aspects of process, and technical safety, and legislative compliance, engineering, and asset integrity.
You’ll be able to communicate and have influence at all levels of the organisation, be a strong team player and be willing to get stuck into other areas of the team as and when needed.
