What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Issue and manage contracts, process purchase orders, and prepare formal solicitations (RFPs/Bids) in compliance with public procurement laws
- Conduct complex data analysis and reporting related to contract administration and purchasing to support decision-making
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance on procurement systems
- Perform preliminary reviews of procurement documents and contracts
- Enhance procurement-related systems to streamline processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 24 semester or 36 quarter units in business administration, contract administration, contract law, public finance, or a closely related field
- Two years of experience in purchasing, contract administration, and managing procurement-related software systems
- A valid California driver's license and transportation availability between job sites
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and codes related to public sector procurement services
- Proficiency in procurement software platforms and related systems

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to engage effectively in oral and written communication
- Experience in negotiating and relationship building within a professional setting
- Familiarity with industry monitoring and legal/regulatory navigation
