      IFF is a global leader in taste, scent and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy. IFF is inviting a passionate and results driven individual to join our Procurement division as Procurement Lead, Food & Beverage (EMEA)!

      In this position, you will be responsible for sourcing and vendor management to support our regional Nourish facilities. You will lead and manage local sourcing for the assigned plants and regional sourcing portfolio in accordance with Global Procurement policies, systems, and procedures. While contributing to the execution of the Global Procurement strategies, through active participation on assigned Category Excellence Teams, you will be responsible for supply and service assurance and vendor management of spend to support operations. You will be responsible to develop and execute business continuity plans to mitigate supply risks in close collaboration with commercial, creative and application and operations team. You will also lead the productivity and margin improvement agenda with finance, commercial, C&A and manufacturing. You will be responsible for maintaining price and source list in system for raw material spend, with the help of support teams (GSS). Resolving and reconciling of price discrepancy, supply disputes with vendor to support site demand, meeting customer request in the most cost efficient and effective manner are key deliverables for the role. You will be a key contributor for Global procurement policies and procedures implementation. In this role there are no direct reports.

      Your Focus
      • Understand the regional market dynamics, economic situation, and business practices
      • Monitor and manage performance of direct spend for the assigned locations / portfolio and ensure continuity of supply for designated sites of responsibility
      • Work closely with planning and manufacturing division to address potential supply shortage
      • As a member of the Category Excellence Teams (CETs), contribute to the execution of Global & Regional Procurement strategies by bringing in market intelligence and opportunities to optimize costs and drive productivity savings
      • Provide support to Commercial and Creative teams as required for day-to-day requirements and strategic initiatives
      • Build and manage internal relationships with key stakeholders in Creative & Applications (C&A), Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, Quality, and GRA divisions
      • Represent IFF Procurement as key liaison for external relationship management with suppliers or/potential supply partners to ensure smooth and efficient execution of purchasing strategies
      • Lead the development of area-specific strategies in managing local / regional purchase portfolio
      • Develop supplier network to ensure continuity of supply and cost competitiveness
      • Oversee data maintenance integrity – on various purchasing system such as SAP, Ariba, BW, supplier contact info, plant IPC assignment and commercial costing database
      • Provide lead or support for entering MRC (Material review committee), plant extension, corporate documentation, payment terms, and data report generation
      • Manage budget and forecast cost of raw materials

      Job Requirements

      About You


      To be successful in this role, you bring:

      • Several years’ experience in the Flavors & Fragrances industry, FMCG or other related industry within a Procurement function.
      • Solid experience in sourcing, supply chain, procurement or suppliers’ management and excellent knowledge in procurement best practices
      • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or equivalent field
      • Proven track record in strategic sourcing in a similar capacity. You are equipped with deep understanding of procurement and key supply markets, for both direct and indirect sourcing. Production operation management or quality management experience will be advantageous
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across different levels.
      • Fluency in English required and fluent Dutch language skills are preferred.
      • Proficiency to work in ERP environment including SAP, BW
      • Results oriented attitude with a strong bias for customer service. Strong teamwork & effective time management skills with proven ability to oversee all assigned projects and meeting deadlines
      • Motivated to work in matrix organization & flexible to occasionally work in different time zones as we are organized in a truly global and geographically dispersed manner.
