- The client is seeking a strategic, hands-on Product Communications & Media Relations / Social Strategy Manager to support a fast-moving communications team focused on elevating product innovation in precision health and AI. This role sits at the intersection of product communications, media relations, executive visibility, and social storytelling, translating complex health and technology topics into compelling narratives for external audiences.
- The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with real media relations experience—comfortable supporting press outreach, product announcements, and thought leadership—while also collaborating cross-functionally with product, medical, marketing, and technology teams. This is a highly collaborative, execution-oriented role for a communicator who enjoys both shaping strategy and rolling up their sleeves.
- Develop and execute integrated communications strategies to elevate product launches, scientific publications, and key company initiatives.
- Support narrative development and messaging for products, tools, and services advancing precision health and AI.
- Translate complex technical and medical information into clear, concise messaging for external audiences.
- Support media relations efforts, including press outreach, media materials, and coordination with PR agencies
- Draft and support press releases, messaging documents, and briefing materials
- Partner with subject matter experts to drive thought leadership that elevates people, programs, and innovation
- Support executives with speaking engagements by managing opportunity review, approvals, and preparation materials.
- Develop talking points, prep documents, and presentation content in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Support social media and external communications strategies that amplify product news, thought leadership, and executive voices.
- Coordinate messaging across social, website, internal communications, and media channels to ensure consistency.
- Contribute to measurement frameworks and reporting to demonstrate communications impact and effectiveness.
- Track performance and identify opportunities to optimize messaging and channel strategy.
- 5+ years of communications experience, including:
- At least 3 years in life sciences, healthcare, health tech, biotech, or medical communications.
- Hands-on media relations experience (press outreach, media materials, or agency collaboration).
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex scientific and technical topics.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, marketing, medical, and technical teams.
- Agency experience (PR or communications) strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting product launches, scientific publications, or major announcements.
- Comfort influencing without authority in a matrixed organization.
- Builder mindset with the ability to move between strategic planning and tactical execution.
- Mission-driven with a genuine interest in health technology, life sciences, and care delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
