- Pursuing final year or completed Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Business with technology minor Graduating Spring 2025 or 2026
- Must be attending University Toronto, Waterloo, York University, McMaster University or Seneca Polytechnic)
- Basic knowledge of APIs, Middleware infrastructure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion and interest in product management, and new software technologies.
- Attention to detail, efficient work ethic, and ability to synthesize data daily.
- Strong people skills, relationship management skills and ability to effectively communicate
- Engage with customers and partners to gather product requirements
- Assist in the creation of Product Requirements Documents, write epics, user stories and acceptance criteria; review and accept completed work.
- Contribute to feature prioritization, and release planning.
- Workflow closely with Product Designers to ideate/design user journey/UX
- Assist in tracking dependencies with cross-functional teams related to on-going and future releases.
- Assist in creating product demo scenarios.
- Work closely with your product management lead, designers and engineers to ensure successful product development and delivery
- Gather and analyze product feedback.
Guidewire is offering a 3-month paid summer Product Management internship program for students in Summer 2025 (. Please see if your University is listed in requirements section.) The program is designed to give active undergraduate and graduate college students an opportunity to work in a real-world business environment in the role of a Product Manager Intern. During the internship program you will have an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of our customers, help solve some of their biggest problems using the newest web technologies and do it all with an amazing team. Our customers are some of the largest insurance companies so ultimately our work touches every life. We solve complex challenges at Guidewire every day, yet we work hard to keep our solutions simple. Our work environment is empowering, respectful, and fun! This internship experience is hands-on and challenging, but you will have an assigned mentor from the Product Management team to serve as a resource and source of support. Qualified interns will drive a project that will touch on various aspects of the role including data analysis, user research, product discovery, product strategy, and execution. Your project will have a direct impact on Guidewire’s strategy and customer outcomes.
To thrive in this role, you will need to work independently, communicate well, and be organized. You should also have a conceptual understanding of the Product Manager role, software processes such as scrum and agile, data analysis and reporting skills, and strong communication skills.
