What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Own and manage product backlogs across two Agile teams supporting rating, forms, and policy issuance systems
- Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications for algorithmic and configuration-heavy products
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams on API contracts and integration requirements
- Lead requirement gathering sessions and translate complex business rules into technical requirements
- Monitor product performance, defects, and customer feedback to inform continuous improvement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 3-5 years in product ownership or business analyst roles, preferably in insurance technology or highly technical B2B software products
- Strong technical aptitude with ability to understand and document complex system architectures
- Experience documenting algorithmic logic, calculation rules, and decision trees
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management best practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and technical writing skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Insurance domain experience, particularly with policy administration systems and actuarial concepts
- Hands-on experience with JSON data structures, XML formats, and RESTful API design
- Experience working with geographically distributed or offshore development teams
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile project management tools
- Ability to read and understand code samples to validate implementation
