Weekly Pay
Verifies formation tables are open, clean, and ready for batteries.
Puts open tables into LOAD mode.
While the table is loading, un-cables tables that are ready to go out.
Inputs table into FIFO after un-cabling.
Cables batteries that have been loaded into strings of 20 (minimum of 15).
Secures top post when cabling by applying slight downward pressure and a twist.
Checks for bad cables and disposes of defective ones in proper cans/barrels.
Notifies PM operator of bad leads.
Visually inspects positive and negative leads for damage before placement on batteries.
Conducts walk-through of AGM tables, looking for batteries with acid leaks on top.
- Removes bottles near acid leaks and places them in appropriate storage bin.
- Replaces older bottles that no longer seal effectively to prevent acid leakage.
- Places positive and negative leads on the proper post in numbered order.
- Prepares accurate group sheets and daily production/time reports using correct rates and production counts.
- Follows assigned schedule.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly.
- Adheres to all safety regulations for all members of the group.
3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing field
3 to 5 years of experience in a position of responsibility and/or leadership
Leadership & Team Motivation – ability to inspire and guide a team to meet production goals while fostering appositive work environment.
Clear and effective communication, both verbal and written to relay instructions, expectations, and feedback.
Problem-Solving Abilities – quick thinking and adaptability to troubleshoot production issues and improve efficiency.
Confident and informed decision-making under pressure, balancing productivity, and worker safety.
Efficiently prioritizing tasks and managing schedules to optimize workflow and output.
Taking responsibility for production results and ensuring standards are met

Basic computer skills
Basic math, reading and writing skills
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to come in early or stay late depending on production demands/Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed
Must be able to wear required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, uniform, and safety boots)

Job Title: Group Leader
Pay: Starting at $22.40/hr with shift differential
Shifts:
Nights: 5pm -5:30am. 223 schedule. Working every other weekend

Working member of wet forming processing crew. Responsible for maintaining quality standards as outlined by specifications and quality manual. Has knowledge of product and specifications and may work on any and all operations and can perform any operation in the group. Has demonstrated leadership ability and is responsible for training or assisting in training new operators. Recommends to supervision changes or reassignments of personnel to obtain best operating efficiency and is responsible for disposition of workers in the group. Takes necessary steps to correct minor difficulties with equipment. Reports major problems of quality and/or equipment to supervisor.
