Job Description
- Req#: 1700
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Must have a minimum of 7 to 10 years in the cement industry working as a process engineer.
- Ability to work with all levels at the plant as well as with corporate management and technical teams.
- Understanding of complex mechanical and electrical technology and equipment.
- Achievement oriented, strong work ethic, tenacious, impeccable attention to detail.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Microsoft applications including Windows and Office applications experience is required.
- Capable to do statistical correlation between quality and process
- Knowledge of the manufacturing process of the company (cement, block, concrete etc.) and its elements
- Full knowledge of all the technology and trends
- Knowledge of the main indicators of efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of materials and energy balance in and grinding calcination processes
- Knowledge systems of continuous improvement, analysis tools and troubleshooting
- Advanced statistics and lean manufacturing /black belt knowledge preferred
- Ability to communicate in English, written and verbal, Spanish is a plus
