- To deliver professional supervision, reflective practice and guidance to the LSCF workforce (both the SLT staff and wider workforce)
- To provide second opinions and complex case consultations to referrals (as required and appropriate)
- To represent the profession and forums as required and appropriate - including risk and quality meetings etc
- To provide clinical and operational leadership to the SLT workforce.
- To monitor the SLT teams performance in terms of compliance with Trust standards, contact figures, quality care, complaint and complement monitoring etc

- Knowledge of specific relevant approaches

The successful candidate will join the well-established and respected Specialist Speech and Language Therapy Service within Nottinghamshire Healthcare Foundation Trust, working specifically within the Low Secure Hospital and Community Forensic Teams across Nottingham city and county.
You will be well supported by an experienced and diverse group of colleagues across Notts Health Care, with opportunities for peer support. You will enjoy close links with our wider SLT team and our SLT colleagues within the East Midlands. Staff benefit fromgreat CPD opportunities annually, both in house and externally funded. We also have strong connections with the national Criminal Justice SLT network.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide professional, clinical and operational leadership to a small SLT team across the Low Secure Community Forensics Care Group working at the Wells Rd Centre. The role involves supporting the services to deliver timely, safe, quality care to a complex mental health population residing in inpatient wards and accessing community forensic services.
