Job Description Summary:
The Program Coordinator ensures that providers (physicians and advanced practice providers) for Virtual Health at multiple OhioHealth and non-OhioHealth Campuses are properly credentialed to comply with applicable legal, professional, and regulatory requirements. The Program Coordinator is responsible for managing the initial credentialing process, reappointment process, onboarding for all applicants for Virtual Health. This position requires critical thinking and effectively analyzes applications.
In addition to the above duties, the Program Coordinator fulfills the duties of a Lead Unit Information Specialist (UIS) in the eICU. The Lead UIS is responsible for scheduling and oversite of the Unit Information Specialists.Responsibilities And Duties:
40% Coordination/Credentialing
Activities, including processing initial and reappointment applications, collaborating with applicants to resolve discrepancies in application documents, communicating directly with medical staff leadership, hospital administration, hospital departments regarding appointment/reappointment and assignment of clinical privileges. Maintains accurate data in applicable databases. Researches and develops checklist/criteria for new delineation of privileges. Other duties as assigned.
60% Unit Information Specialist
Manages patient census on EMR and Telehealth software by tracking admissions, discharges, and transfers out of the eICU hospital sites and units. Facilitate and direct communication between eICU Nursing Staff, Physicians, and system staff members to maintain accurate records and ensure the timely delivery care. Responsible for coordinating and facilitating virtual consults in eICU and the OhioHealth Stroke Network. Responsibilities include tracking eICU cart usage, collecting data, creating unit assignment sheets, communicating with eICU sites. Must be proficient and demonstrate effective communication skills, teamwork, ability to multitask, and use multiple software platforms to complete various assignments. Maintains accurate data in applicable databases. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:

Exceptional organization and time management skills. Detail-oriented person with the ability to work independently on multiple tasks. Ability to understand and communicate requirements to others. Medical terminology preferred. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and database applications. High level of initiative and ownership with the ability to self-motivate. Works well independently and in team settings.
