- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in employee enrichment, organizational development, internal communication, or related role.
- Experience working with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Office, and SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview)
- Must be willing and available to travel to host offsite events in/outside of the city/state and outside of typical working hours.
- Practices an elevated level of empathy, emotional intelligence, and cultural sensitivity.
- Critical thinker and solution oriented.
- Strong understanding of data management, data analysis, tools, systems, and providing actionable items.
- Strong understanding of employee engagement strategies, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to engage and inspire employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in using survey tools, collaboration platforms, and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience in contract negotiations and vendor management, and budget management.
- Experience with creating and adhering to a project or event schedule.
- Administer one or more programs or projects.
- Define program or project requirements, identify interdependencies with internal or external departments or service providers, and coordinate to receive their input.
- Develop communications regarding the program or project; Develop project plans and/or programmatic process.
- Develop and track metrics, provide complex data analysis & interpretation and develop program related reports.
- Make recommendations for program or process improvements by providing inputs for systemic changes to program or project management processes for better planning, scope management, and risk prevention.
- Support the design and implementation of policies, process and procedures.
- Develop process for execution of program initiatives.
- Engage with program management teams internally and vendors externally for coordination.
- May mentor less experienced team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Our newest department is looking for two program coordinators to join us!
The Employee Activities and Enrichment Office is an exciting and brand-new department at St. Jude with the goal of developing and implementing strategies to enhance employee enrichment. We will do this through designing and executing offsite activities, which contribute to a positive work environment, strengthen our culture, and foster a sense of community among our employees.
The role will assist in the development and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures to support the Employee Activities and Enrichment Office (EAEO). In this position, you will adhere to all plans, resource and budget requirements and be responsible for overall planning, implementation, performance, and customer satisfaction. You will also promote the program internally and externally and track program use, while ensuring activities are compliant with institutional policies and any relevant external regulations.
Other vital tasks for this position:
- Manage resources and develop contingency plans to support EAEO events and activities.
- Provide coaching and/or mentoring to employees by serving as an institutional resource and may also mentor less experienced team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Employee Enrichment Strategy:
Participate in development and implementation of an employee enrichment strategy aligned with the organization's goals and values. Participate in designing programs and initiatives focused on offsite enrichment to foster a positive work environment, boost employee morale, and contribute to a sense of community among our employees. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify challenges and develop targeted solutions. Recruit, lead and serve as an exhaustive resource for multiple community volunteer options.
2. Communication and Recognition Programs:
Participate in the creation and maintenance of effective communication channels to ensure timely and transparent information flow. Plan and execute compelling internal communication initiatives, including development and management of an enrichment-focused intranet site that serves as an employee resource and supports employee enrichment objectives.
3. Employee Events and Programs:
Create new and innovative typically offsite employee events and experiences that align with St. Jude culture and values, incorporating interactive elements and unique experiences. Organize, coordinate, and encourage employee participation in new events, social gatherings, travel experiences, and expanded wellness programs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute new employee enrichment initiatives, team-building activities, and development opportunities. Develop and manage new employee committees or affinity groups to foster inclusivity and create platforms for employee involvement. Provide end to end event management of EAEO sponsored activities and travel opportunities. Organize, host, and facilitate new trips and experiences offsite and out of town. Recruit and coordinate employee volunteers to provide support for activities and events managed by the EAEO.
4. Wellness and Work-Life Balance:
Collaborate with the human resources and wellness teams to identify areas with potential for expansion/enhancement of current programs and initiatives. Collaborate with the wellness team to identify intramural sports with potential for expansion/enhancement and assist with establishing these novel opportunities. Schedule new opportunities for special employee nights and/or acquire discounted tickets for local sports games and Memphis cultural activities. Develop new opportunities to organize and recruit St. Jude employee teams to participate in ALSAC/St. Jude fundraising races and campaigns supporting the mission of St. Jude.
5. Feedback and Surveys:
Develop and administer regular employee feedback mechanisms, such as surveys and focus groups. Analyze feedback data and provide actionable insights to management for addressing concerns and improving employee satisfaction, systemic changes, processes, scope management, risk prevention, and employee engagement trends. Develop reports to demonstrate program effectiveness. Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Program Coordinator - Employee Activities and Enrichment Office.Explore our exceptional benefits!
