      The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating program management activities by performing tasks related to data tracking, analysis, and implementation of results that meet the goals/objectives of the department.

      Overview

      The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission of training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.

      Summary:

      Working under the direction of the Global Nursing Director, the Project Coordinator will advance nursing education (work closely with partners assist in designing and implementation of initiatives) to enhance quality outcomes for children and adolescents with cancer in countries across the world.

      The Global Nursing Program Coordinator is responsible for:

      • Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary regional health team to achieve St. Jude’s global mission to improve pediatric cancer outcomes through capacity building, education, and research, focusing on in nursing education development.
      • Define program or project requirements, identify interdependencies with internal or external departments or service providers, and coordinate to receive their input.
      • Develop communications regarding the program or project; Develop project plans and/or programmatic process.
      • Develop and track metrics, provide complex data analysis & interpretation and develop program related reports.
      • Make recommendations for program or process improvements by providing inputs for systemic changes to program or project management processes for better planning, scope management, and risk prevention.
      • Support the design and implementation of policies, process, and procedures.
      • Develop process for execution of program initiatives.
      • Engage with program management teams internally and vendors externally for coordination.
      • May mentor less experienced team members.
      • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.

      Skills and Abilities:

      • Ability to quickly synthesize new information from diverse sources.
      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Ability to carry out broad assignments with minimal supervision.
      • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
      • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
      • Ability to handle sensitive matters in a confidential and professional manner.
      • Ability to adapt work schedule, with prior notice, to virtually support events occurring in multiple time-zones.
      • Cultural sensitivity is a must.
      • Pediatric hematology/oncology nursing experience strongly preferred.
      • International travel and attendance of off-hour meetings required.

      Minimum Education

      • Bachelor’s degree required.
      • Master’s degree is preferred.

      Minimum Experience

      • Has working knowledge of project management and planning tools.
      • Is able to effectively sequence and prioritize tasks within programs and works more independently to manage day to day issues, escalating as needed.
      • Understands the overall program goals & customer needs, coordinates with cross functional teams and tracks dependencies & risks.

      Compensation

      In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Program Coordinator - Global Nursing Program.
