- Facilitate day-to-day operation of the NSIPP program
- Coordinate and facilitate particulars of the project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Coordinate project teams and resources to accomplish program requirements
- Execute project work plans and revise as appropriate, in partnership with IWK/DHW committees
- Facilitate communications with project team/stakeholders/consultants
- Oversee program deliverables and budget
- Provide clients and health care professionals with appropriate information about the program (website oversight, telephone and e-mail communication, in person).
- Oversee the required application process for clients to access the program
- Process the completed application forms
- Coordinate with pump vendors to ensure appropriate pump attainment for the client
- Manage invoices received from the pump vendors in accordance with approved accounts payable process
- Complete the necessary data entry to populate the NSIPP database
- Maintain an up to date account profile for each client as well as the program
- Produce reports on a scheduled and ad hoc basis
- Send out annual reminders to ensure yearly renewal process followed by clients and health care professionals
- Baccalaureate Degree in a Health discipline, Health Promotion, Office/Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in project coordination required.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered for this position.
- Must possess a strong understanding of the needs of patients and families living with diabetes.
- Experience with client-centred and evidence-based care models required.
- Demonstrated project management, organizational and decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to listen effectively.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to present ideas, build rapport, negotiate and problem solve effectively while working with diverse groups.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment, as well as independently with limited supervision.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Privacy Health Information Act (PHIA).
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PP) and Adobe
- Enthusiastic, flexible, able to work under pressure with many priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with data bases including data entry and report retrieval required.
- Competencies in other languages an asset

The Opportunity
The Nova Scotia Insulin Pump Program (NSIPP) is a provincially based program providing funding for insulin pumps and supplies to those under the age of 26. NSIPP is a partnership with the Diabetes Care Program of Nova Scotia (DCPNS) and the IWK, funded by the Department of Health and Wellness. The IWK is the administrator of NSIPP and responsible for the ongoing operation of this provincial program.
Reporting to the Manager, Primary Health, the Nova Scotia Insulin Pump Program (NSIPP) Coordinator coordinates and facilitates activities related to the ongoing operation of this provincial program. The Coordinator is responsible for managing program registration, renewals and on-going client support to access NSIPP program benefits and funding for pumps and supplies. The NSIPP Coordinator works collaboratively with multiple internal and external partners, including the Diabetes Care Program of NS (DCPNS) and Diabetes Clinics, clients, and their families, Pump vendors, IWK Procurement and IWK Finance to facilitate accessible and timely funding with a client equity lens. The Coordinator works closely with pump vendors, managing program invoicing and maintaining up to date, accurate, and confidential client transfer of information to ensure deliverables are meet. Working with the Manager of Primary Health, the Coordinator supports the program partnerships and working groups to oversee and initiate administrative process deliverables of the program.

Regular working hours Monday-Friday, hybrid model
