  Avivo's Ending Homelessness division provides pathways to housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. We work with county coordinated entry systems and tribal governments and operate a street outreach team. We assist individuals to find and maintain housing, supporting them in scattered-site and site-based housing. We operate Avivo Village to address the needs of individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness. We strive for the highest quality of services using culturally responsive approaches.

  The Program Manager for Bimosedaa will provide leadership for a Housing Support funded site-based programs. This program uses a high-fidelity Harm Reduction and Housing First approach to ensure individuals experiencing Substance Use Disorders (SUD), specifically Opioid Use Disorder, have a safe and dignified place to call home. All residents will be adults who have a history of long-term homelessness. Working with the Program Director, this role provides leadership, oversees operation of services, and ensures a safe supportive environment for residents and staff. Duties include supervision of staff, financial and contractual management, and acting as a liaison to partnering agencies and other state/federal funding agencies. The Program Manager may assume duties of direct service staff as needed.

  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and Maintain a Strong, Competent, and High Functioning Team to ensure high quality, mission-driven services are provided in a safe environment.
  • Oversee program management for all Targeted Case Management and Housing First Case Management, to ensure high quality, mission-driven services.
  • Track compliance & outcomes as required for the program.
  • Manage budgets & contracts.
  • Undoing racism and reducing disparities.
  • This position supervises the following positions:

  Case Managers (2-5)

  Resident Advocates (2-3)

  Qualifications

  
  

  • High school diploma required. BA in Behavioral Science preferred or Lived Experience of homelessness and/or SUD/Mental Health recovery.
  • 1 year of supervision experience needed.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a case manager (including a minimum of 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults with mental illness).
  • Experience with and/or commitment to working in a diverse, continuum of services in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Experience with providing billable mental health or housing services.
  • Experience with and/or a demonstrated commitment to developing and delivering culturally responsive harm reduction, trauma informed services.
  • Experience with electronic health records.
  • Passion for Avivo’s mission and values.
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
  • Must have a valid, current driver’s license, proof of valid insurance and a clean driving record.
  • Able to pass background checks.

  Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or a related field.
  • Experience with programs serving individuals with dual diagnoses who have a history of long-term homelessness.
  • Licensed or dually licensed professional (mental health and chemical health).
  • Experience working in Harm Reduction and Housing First with a demonstrated working knowledge and commitment to these modalities.
  • Lived experience of homelessness and/or substance use disorder recovery.
  • Familiarity with Housing Support administration and implementation.
  • 1 year of professional experience in a community mental health setting preferred.
  • Willingness to be flexible with work hours to accommodate the needs of the participants.
  • Expected to be available to work occasional evenings and/or weekends.
