      About CORE: The Center for Outcomes Research and Education (CORE) is an externally funded, independent team of scientists, researchers, and data experts with a vision for a healthier, more equitable future. Based in Portland, Oregon, we work with a wide variety of cross-sector partners to take on today’s biggest barriers to better health with an emphasis on social determinants. Through this work, we deliver insights that help shape and sustain healthier systems, policies, programs, and communities. Our unique approach combines rigorous scientific research and analytics with authentic community partnerships to drive meaningful change. We help gather, analyze, interpret, and use data and information for better decision-making and more effective programs and policies centered on local communities and beyond. We’ve also helped our partners access funding, expand pilot programs, gain new skills, advocate for policy change, and shape strategy. Center for Outcomes Research and Education (CORE)

      The Program Manager is a high-level contributor to CORE's portfolio, providing project leadership and expertise in one or more of the following content areas: health systems transformation and cross-sector initiatives, health-related measurement and analytics, program evaluation, qualitative methods, and/or health policy. This position provides independent analysis, expert advice, and recommendations to CORE leadership, community partners, and clients on complex issues and projects. The Program Manager is responsible for building and maintaining partnerships, developing new work through proposal and grant writing, leading multi-functional internal and/or external teams, and providing direction and guidance to ensure the overall success of programs and initiatives. With minimal or no direction, the Program Manager is responsible for designing and implementing projects of different types including research and program evaluation, technical assistance and capacity building, community engagement, analytics or analytic strategy, program design, and more.

      Required qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Social Science, or other relevant field.
      • 5 years experience managing programs and projects related to health data, health policy, analytics, research, evaluation, or related field.
      • Experience managing stakeholder and partnership relationships.
      • Experience in developing contract proposals and budgets for federal, state or private entities and providing ongoing communications or progress reports.
      • Experience in desktop computing environment.

      Preferred qualifications:

      • Master's Degree or equivalent years of experience.
      • 2-3 years of (add years of experience from above)
