      Job Summary:

      We are seeking au00A0 Program Manager u2013 Workforce Readinessu00A0 to lead a flagship career readiness initiative at the Houston Learning Center. This new program will provideu00A0 after-school technical training u00A0to high school seniors, preparing them for careers in field-based turbine maintenance.

      The ideal candidate bringsu00A0 experience in public school or vocational education administration, understands how to work withu00A0 minors in training environments, and is skilled inu00A0 grant writing and state/federal program funding. This is not a traditional corporate training role; it requires someone who can build bridges between public education systems and private industry while managing logistics, compliance, and long-term program development.
      • Key Responsibilities
        • Program Leadership: u00A0Serve as the central lead for the HLC-based Workforce Readiness Program, managing day-to-day delivery, calendar, and logistics
        • School District Liaison: u00A0Build and maintain relationships with Houston-area ISDs, vocational programs, and CTE leaders to coordinate student recruitment, eligibility, and engagement
        • Student Oversight: u00A0Ensure the program complies with policies governing the education and supervision ofu00A0 minors in training environments, including adherence to safety, attendance, and conduct standards
        • Funding & Grants: u00A0Research and apply foru00A0 state and federal workforce development funding, CTE-related grants, or dual-enrollment partnerships to support program expansion and sustainability
        • Curriculum Coordination: u00A0Collaborate with internal technical experts to align content delivery with business needs and student learning outcomes
        • Compliance & Risk Management: u00A0Ensure all program activities meet GE Vernovau2019s EHS standards, site policies, and minor training regulations
        • Brand & Community Engagement: u00A0Support program branding, public outreach, and student events in alignment with GE Vernovau2019s employer brand and DEI mission
        • Reporting & Evaluation: u00A0Track student progress, instructor feedback, and conversion rates to FieldCore employment; report results to leadership and adjust strategy accordingly
        • Pre-Program Readiness: u00A0Coordinate outreach events, school visits, and pre-program student onboarding in partnership with schools and FieldCore delivery teams
        • Collaborative Management: u00A0Partner closely with HLC operational teams, EHS, and the Global Training Delivery Director to ensure smooth execution across all operational touchpoints
        Required Qualifications
        • Bacheloru2019s degree in Education, Public Administration, Workforce Development, or related field
        • 7+ years of experience in public education, CTE administration, vocational training, or nonprofit program management
        • Proven ability to supervise, coordinate, or support training foru00A0 minors or high school-aged learners
        • Demonstrated success in writing or managingu00A0 state or federal education/training grants
        • Strong understanding of workforce development systems, CTE funding mechanisms, and public-private training partnerships
        • Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills
        • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and/or program management tools (Smartsheet, Google Workspace, etc.)
        Preferred Qualifications
        • Experience working directly with ISDs, high schools, or technical schools
        • Familiarity with career pathway programs or industry-recognized certification models
        • Background in administering safety or compliance programs related to youth in hands-on learning environments
        • Masteru2019s degree in Education Administration, Workforce Policy, or Public Affairs
        • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
      Compensation and Benefits:
      The annual salary range for this position is $88,800 to $146,400.u00A0This is an exempt from overtime position.u00A0 FieldCore benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life), retirement savings, health and Wellness reimbursement, and a bonus or incentive program.u00A0 Eligibility for FieldCore benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable benefits plan.
