- Serve as Program Manager responsible for managing programs through advanced development, production and fielding.
- Direct the work of specialists within the office and, through functional managers, the activities of a great many matrix support specialists.
- Exercise management control of all functional inputs to the program.
- Maintain a continuous up to date cognizance of all aspects of project(s).
- Evaluate pertinent data from points of contact to provide ready, accurate and complete response to inquiries on the status of all assigned programs from Congress.
- Provide the central point of contact to ensure coordinated and responsive action to all issues.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 5% of the time.
- The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Practitioner (formerly Level II). This is a DOD Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.

Basic Requirement for Program Manager, NH-0340-3:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing data lake/data warehouse, data standards, or synching data solutions with agile product deliver; AND assisting with the managing projects and products through their lifecycle ensuring positive customer engagement and delivery on scope. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02).
