      Job Summary:

      CRS is implementing the Latter-day Saint Charities (LDSC) funded Holistic Opportunities for Positive Engagement in Maternal and Child Health (HOPE-MCH) Project which puts child wellbeing at the center and seeks to envelop children with the support and care they need from their families, communities, clinics, and health system to survive and thrive. CRS seeks a project assistant HOPE-MCH project to provide administrative and operational support, including the role of maintaining and updating all relevant project databases and project files and supporting logistical arrangements for project-related activities and events. The Project Assistant will support field and Tamale-based staff with clerical duties, including the input of requisitions for advances, goods and services, as well as with the liquidation of advances taken for project activities.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Perform clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, faxing, filing, and mailing
      • Provide logistical support for workshops and project/field activities
      • Assist project leads in the development of logistics plans for trainings and workshops
      • Assist respective project leads in drafting and distributing letters; and seek confirmation of participation for events organized by the Health department
      • Support administration to manage local travel logistics for visitors to the HOPE-MCH projects.
      • Manage the creation of requisitions for services and goods for project related activities.
      • Any other duties assigned by supervisor or Senior Management.

      Required Languages - Fluency in English required

      Travel - include percentage of required travel, if applicable. Could be stated as Must be willing and able to travel up to 30 %.

      Key Working Relationships:

      Internal: Head of Programming, Project Manager, Project Officers, Finance Manager, Procurement Manager, Project Assistants, Operations Staff

      External: Government partners (including the District Health Directorates and Department of Community Development of the District Assemblies), Communities, CBOs, etc.

      Qualifications

      Basic Qualifications

      • BSc in business management or other related degree
      • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in office or project administration assistant
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Willingness to travel domestically to support project events
      • Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data (preferred)
      • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
      • Knowledge of local language would be an advance
