What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support project managers in achieving financial, schedule, and performance targets for transportation programs
- Assist in scheduling, proposals, subcontract procurement, and financial planning from start to finish
- Prepare regular cost reports, tracking actual and committed costs against budgets
- Communicate with clients and subcontractors regarding invoicing, payment, and contract requirements
- Participate in project review meetings and assist with the development of project work breakdown structures (WBS)
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BA/BS degree with 4 years of relatable experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
- Understanding of financial terminology and principles related to project controls
- Ability to analyze financial data to identify key project issues
- Knowledge of scope control and change management principles
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience in engineering, construction management, or related fields with relevant project controls experience
- Familiarity with project planning and scheduling methods, practices, and earned value concepts
- Experience with financial systems and processes in a project management context
