      Project Director - Naval Officer Training

      Grade: GG15

      Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia

      JOB PURPOSE

      BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Naval Forces ships and train RSNF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their ships and equipment.

      The purpose of this job is to ensure that the highest standards of training are delivered, maintained and achieved at King Fahad Naval Academy (KFNA).

      JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

      The post holder is responsible for:

      • Delivery of the Naval Officer Training (NOT) project to time, quality and cost in accordance with BAE Systems corporate governance and supporting policies.
      • Being prime customer and Business point of contact for the NOT project.
      • Holding full delegation of engineering authority.
      • Delivering CSR performance.
      • Adherence of the Operational Assurance Framework.
      • Ensuring integration, scheduling and reporting of all Programme contracts, schedules and risks across all their work scope.
      • Establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships specifically maintaining regular communication and managing expectations.
      • Actively contributing to the businesses IBP and financial objectives.
      • Delivering customer and contractual expectations around Saudisation and Industrialisation.

      RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

      The post holder must:

      • Demonstrate substantial knowledge of Project Management competencies especially Programme Management.
      • Possess significant breadth of business, product and process knowledge is required for the role including Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain Management. This will ensure the development of an optimal solution with due consideration and appreciation of the operational issues, which may impact these functions.
      • Hold a Degree or equivalent industry level experience.
      • Demonstrate proven experience in managing large projects.
