What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and manage a diverse project team to execute the pipeline project from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor project progress
- Identify risks and implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risks
- Provide project and safety leadership on-site during pipeline construction
What is Required (Qualifications):
- University degree, diploma, or related engineering, construction, technical operations, or project management training and/or experience specific to projects
- Minimum 7 years of related experience with projects
- Knowledge of gas pipeline design and construction
- Strong understanding of technical and non-technical project risks associated with pipeline projects in British Columbia
- Valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- P Eng designation and PMP certification are an asset
- Extensive experience in stakeholder management, including working with Indigenous communities and regulatory agencies
- Understanding of the CER, BCER, and municipal permitting processes
