Provides project management support for community development projects to ensure projects are completed in a timely fashion and within budget
Provides reports and recommendations to leadership, stakeholders, and funders related to project performance.
Performs and presents financial and data analysis related to project performance, including accounting, demographics, and other performance metrics
UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION
Plans and oversees real estate construction projects, including preparing/reviewing budgets, project timelines, and operating budgets as well as monitoring project status and expenses.
Communicates with community residents and other stakeholders on project plan and status
Monitors progress on projects and resolves problems as part of a team as they arise
Works closely with other Metro agencies and external partners on current and future projects
Works on multiple projects at a time to further mission
Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
Manages housing, property maintenance code, and Section 8 housing inspection activities and operations. Interprets codes, regulations, and ordinances, and explains procedures to the public.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Other Minimum Requirements
2 years of experience working in real estate development, construction management, or property management
Equivalency
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Special Requirements
Project Management certification or history of project management classes preferred
Skills and Abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain flexible
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
Experienced communicator, both verbal and written
Creative problem-solver
Self-starter with initiative
Experience with budget reconciliations and financial reviews
Ability to thoughtfully communicate with and respectfully engage diverse stakeholders around a shared vision for achieving results
Familiar with plan review, building/construction plans & city permitting processes
Works well under tight deadlines
Proficient in data management & project tracking
