      The Y-Risk Innovation Labs is looking for a Program Manager to design, develop, execute, and monitor strategic initiatives that enable The Hartford to bring new and innovative insurance products to market. This role will have significant visibility within The Hartford and will be responsible for driving high-profile initiatives critical to our Growth & Innovation goals. This role reports to the Head of the Y-Risk Innovation Labs

      This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working from the Unionville/Hartford office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

      Responsibilities:

      • Lead the Y-Risk Innovation Labs in pilot execution, including owning the development of business cases, the design and implementation of pilot goals and plans, the coordinating of cross-functional teams, the identification of pilot outcomes including execution risks, sold policies and pilot learnings, and the tracking of the Labs Pilot Portfolio

      • Aggregation, analysis and sharing of pilot learning and experience, including underwriter, customer and broker feedback, go-to-market strategy effectiveness and product viability

      • Help create and deliver internal and external engagement materials such as presentations and internal videos

      • Engage with internal innovation partners including MLC, SC, GS, Underwriting, Product, IoT Labs, Claims, Risk Engineering, Field and others

      • Engage with external innovation partners including brokers, insurtechs and industry innovation communities

      • Analysis related to strategic initiatives, including detailed market scans and competitive analyses and evaluations of company strategies, as well as participating in research studies with internal and/or external partners

      Qualifications:

      • Self-motivated individual with demonstrated ability to handle multiple high priority demands, manage expectations, context switching and achieve objectives

      • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a product-related role, digital, technology, or related field

      • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and and experience in managing aspects of projects independently

      • Experience with ADKAR or other change management frameworks

      • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Teams

      • Strong collaboration and influence skills, including ability to manage multiple stakeholders

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability understand audiences, tailor messages and influence outcomes

      • Bachelors Degree preferred

      • Experience with analyzing data to identify insights and create hypotheses for testing

      • Prior insurance industry experience preferred

      • Understanding of change management and business transformation concepts

      • Experience with insurance technology

      Compensation

      The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

      $81,760 - $122,640
