What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead technology or product initiatives from initiation through planning, execution, go-live, and closeout
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve measurable business outcomes
- Direct cross-functional teams, vendors, and project teams using hybrid project and product management skills
- Develop project plans, schedules, and resource plans while maintaining risk, issue, and decision logs
- Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders and ensure business readiness for launches and go-lives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting or managing technology or product-related projects
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
- Basic understanding of budget tracking, scheduling, and risk management
- Proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools such as Microsoft Project, Teams, SharePoint, and Office 365
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Agile Fundamentals, or equivalent certification
- Experience with technology modernization, digital transformation, or system upgrade projects
- Familiarity with City of Seattle governance processes or similar portfolio standards
- Understanding of AI and automation tools that enhance project delivery, reporting, or data analysis
