What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and manage project scope, plans, and resource allocation for complex IT projects
- Provide guidance and direction to project teams on daily tasks and deliverables
- Track project costs, expenditures, and progress against established schedules
- Facilitate governance meetings and status updates with stakeholders and project teams
- Manage risks, issues, and project change requests throughout the project lifecycle
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 84 months of experience managing large, complex IT projects for U.S. Government agencies
- Proven experience developing and executing comprehensive project management plans
- Proficient in using project tracking tools, such as Microsoft Project, for schedule management
- Strong background in quality planning, assurance, and end-to-end system testing
- Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certifications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 48 months of experience managing COTS software implementation projects or in-house application development projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects with budgets over $500,000 and durations exceeding 12 months
- Experience working with third-party vendors and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
