This position will involve a combination of project management, staff supervision, and business development for clients including NIH, CMS, and AHRQ.

      Responsibilities

      • May support the design and implementation of programs and initiatives including developing objectives, drafting strategic & implementation plans and developing new workflows.
      • Manages the day-to-day work of high-visibility projects for our clients, including:
        • Oversees the development of deliverables to ensure on-time delivery and high quality.
        • Develops a detailed project plan to track progress and manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
        • Ensures projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget and are technically sound and accurate.
      • Develops and implements processes and procedures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of team's operations.
      • Coordinates internal resources and external consultants and vendors to execute programs and projects.
      • Manages a small team by supervising staff, providing mentoring, oversight and managing performance.
      • Provides advice on technical approaches to accomplish project objectives including meeting cadence, research approaches, resource needs, communication strategies, and data management.
      • Establishes and maintains relationships with external consultants, vendors and partners.
      • Manages relationships with clients and stakeholders.
      • Contributes to proposal writing and technical solutions for relevant projects and may lead technical or management sections.
      • May begin to manage larger projects and teams, multiple concurrent projects, or interdisciplinary projects spanning multiple business units.
      • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

      Minimum Education and Experience

      • Bachelor's degree in science, health, social science, or public health field
      • 10 years of related experience
      • 2 years of project management experience

      Basic Requirements

      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
      • Experience working on a biomedical research or public health project.
      • Project and people management skills in budgeting, resourcing, planning, tasking, and risk management.
      • Ability to communicate results simply and effectively.
      • Experience with, working groups, or diverse public health stakeholders.
      • Ability to develop strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external vendors.
      • Managing working groups and generating reports.
      • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
      • May have advanced knowledge in area of technical expertise.
      • Advanced ability to navigate web-based systems such as SharePoint, Teams and other electronic business systems and train others on its use.

      Skills That Set You Apart

      • Project management certification (PMP) and experience with project management software
      • Experience in strategic planning, science policy, or healthcare regulations
      • Expertise in working with government clients or healthcare nonprofits, including NIH, CMS and AHRQ
      • Experience working with diverse populations and/or work related to health equity
