- Loss Management: Coordinate the measurement of losses, including structure, personal property, loss of use/business interruption, and mitigation efforts.
- Estimating & Adjusting: Utilize Xactimate and other tools to prepare accurate estimates, including contractor data and research for competitive pricing.
- Claims Investigation: Identify, investigate and resolve coverage issues, in collaboration with management. Investigate origin and cause of losses, engage and assist in subrogation efforts, and manage fraud investigations.
- Customer Service & Negotiation: Provide clear estimates and explanations of coverage to customers, ensuring prompt settlement. Maintain and properly document communication through various methods (Zoom, Teams, phone, email, etc.).
- Resolution Skills: Utilize alternative dispute resolution methods, including arbitration, mediation, and appraisal, to reach the best business result.
- Documentation & Reporting: Ensure proper documentation of all claims, investigations, and resolutions. Manage and secure subrogation and salvage items when necessary.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 8-10 years of claims experience, including both field and desk adjusting.
- Skills: Expertise in handling personal property losses, additional living expense claims, and working with contractors and service providers. Strong knowledge of construction methods, damage assessment, and repair techniques.
- Technological Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required), and experience with claims management software such as Xactimate.
- Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license, ability to travel to loss locations at short notice, and an acceptable driving record.

Position Summary:
We’re seeking an experienced Large Loss Property General Adjuster to handle all aspects of residential and commercial large loss claims. This role requires immediate travel to meet policyholders and service providers on-site and in-person. Deep knowledge of the construction process, from permitting to reconstruction, is essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to write code-compliant reconstruction estimates and manage loss resolution using conventional adjusting techniques.
