What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate medical, dental, and laboratory claims to ensure seamless health coverage for clients
- Resolve eligibility and insurance conflicts for clients with multiple payers, including Medicare and Medicaid
- Provide technical training and guidance to contracted providers and local health jurisdictions to enhance client access to care
- Address billing issues and ensure timely provider payments while supporting client services
- Engage in quality management initiatives, including compliance reviews and policy documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Five (5) years of experience in professional management, consultative, or volunteer roles related to public health or healthcare programs
- Experience screening individuals for eligibility and coordinating benefits in public or social service programs
- Proficient in navigating, updating, and researching information within databases
- Professional experience providing technical assistance both in-person and through digital communication
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting information to diverse audiences
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience handling confidential or sensitive information
- Familiarity with diverse populations, including those experiencing homelessness or with mental health and substance use issues
- An associate degree or higher in public health, social work, psychology, or a related field
- Knowledge of the Washington State HIV care system and awareness of HIV prevention interventions
- Experience using web-based data systems to document customer information
