What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary advocate for healthcare providers, demonstrating accountability and ownership in issue resolution
- Manage multi-channel support including calls, chats, and emails to address provider inquiries
- Triage and respond to contacts from healthcare professionals, addressing needs related to benefits, billing, and authorizations
- Research and resolve complex prior authorization and claim issues to prevent repeat inquiries and improve provider satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure timely communication and resolution of provider issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience with strong problem-solving skills
- Proficient with computer applications, including the ability to navigate complex systems
- Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week during normal business hours, with potential for overtime
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a call center or customer service environment utilizing phones and computers
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology and processes
- Current employment within UHC Operations & Experience
