What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the advocate for healthcare providers, demonstrating accountability to resolve issues
- Manage service inquiries through calls, chats, and emails in a multi-channel environment
- Triage and address contacts from healthcare professionals to understand and resolve their needs
- Research and resolve complex prior authorization and claim issues to prevent repeat inquiries
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure timely communication and resolution of provider issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ years of customer service experience with a focus on analyzing and solving customer concerns
- Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, with the ability to navigate complex systems
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during normal business hours, including potential overtime and weekends
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a related environment (office, call center, customer service) using phones and computers
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology and experience in the healthcare industry
- Currently employed within UHC Operations & Experience
