Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage provider data and improve databases
- Extract and report data for various reports and analyses
- Develop and maintain standards for database integrity and quality assurance
- Communicate with other departments regarding database improvements
- Assist in audits and data quality improvement initiatives
Additional Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor load and maintenance staff
- Collaborate with business partners to document work instructions for processes and procedures
- Stay updated on business strategies, rules, and procedures
- Develop and maintain productive work relationships
- Use data and facts to solve problems within your area of expertise
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 3+ years of data entry experience
- 2+ years of experience with provider data loading in the healthcare industry
- 1+ years of experience working in Veteran Affairs Community Care Network
- 6+ months of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems
- 6+ months of intermediate level proficiency in tracking, trending, and reporting on metrics
- Experience in managing electronic provider or health-related files
- Working knowledge of healthcare terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree
- Experience in continuous process, efficiency, and quality improvement
- Familiarity with NDB, PIMS, MedNet, BH Facets, and/or Accent DB
- Proficiency with OptumServe VA Data Suite
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Access, MS Visio, and/or MS SharePoint
- Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to make sound judgment calls and decisions daily with limited information
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Strong analytical thinking, multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and propose solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under extreme deadlines
Additional Information:
- Salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $22.45 to $43.89
