Implement consistent and professional case management processes, to include assigning to completion, create reports based on data within the “ethics hotline”
Review and update procedures based on local, state, and federal compliance requirements and University policies, standards, guidelines, best practices, and procedures
Handle all hotline reports with outstanding customer service, organization, consistency, and in a timely manner, managing several cases simultaneously
Investigative service may also include interviewing complainants, respondents, witnesses, collecting evidence to support reporting, and making final recommendations.
Previous experience in case management
The ability to establish rapport amongst various levels of faculty, staff, students, and outside agencies
Outstanding customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Exceptional analytical, judgement, and organization skills

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Pennsylvania State University, Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) is seeking a Hotline Investigations Case Manager (Compliance Specialist) to be part of a dynamic group of individuals who are committed to the values and ethics of the organization with a focus on compliance regulations, laws, and institutional policy. It is our mission to serve and collaborate with the Penn State community to inspire ethical behavior and find innovative solutions to compliance challenges, thereby ensuring the University’s continued academic, research, and administrative success. This position will provide oversight and manage inquiries received directly or within the University’s anonymous reporting systems, particularly the “ethics hotline,” support case management related to reporting, and provide investigative services.
Responsibilities:
This position will report to the director of investigations while working cross functionally with leadership and staff from across the University.
Primary duties include:
The successful candidate will be responsible for consulting with and establishing and maintaining strong synergies and partnerships with various units across the University and requires a high degree of personal/professional ethics and confidentiality
Education and Experience:
This position will be filled at the Intermediate or Advanced Professional level. Minimally requires a bachelor’s degree, plus one or more years of direct experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience for the intermediate level. Additional experience and/or education is required for higher-level jobs.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:
Experience managing a reporting system/hotline in a higher education environment is preferred, but not required.

Background check:
This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$56,200.00 - $89,600.00Salary Structure - additional information on Penn State's job and salary structure.

University Park, PAPursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
