Job summary
We are looking to appoint either a Psychological Therapist or a Clinical Psychologist to work within the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Service, based in the Centre for Specialist Psychological Therapies at Benfield House.
The appointee will work with multi-disciplinary colleagues offering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for service users with complex presenting problems.
The work comprises providing an assessment/consultation service and individual therapy.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will also contribute to CBT based outreach activities such as training, supervision, advice and consultation in accordance with service needs.
The candidate should already have either considerable experience and qualifications in working within mental health and come from a generic mental health background or will have an Honours Degree in Psychology recognised for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Doctoral Degree or equivalent recognised by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as qualification for the independent practice of Clinical Psychology in the National Health Service.
This post is open to those who have completed a post graduate training qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, leading to registration with BABCP as a practitioner, and who have current membership of BABCP.
The post holder will need to have experience of working with a range of mental health difficulties relevant to the post eg complex trauma, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression.
This is an exciting opportunity for those wishing to practice as a CBT therapist and to work within a specialist CBT service within the Centre for Specialist Psychological Therapies.
