      Job Overview

      Job Expectations:

      · Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

      · Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.

      · Performs inpatient and outpatient consultations including chart review, assessment of cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and psychological aspects of the patient's needs and establishes appropriate goals for treatment with the patients, provides appropriate treatment, and reviews progress toward these goals.

      · Develops liaison relationships with referring providers and participates in the programs of that specialty area, including collaborative rounding and multidisciplinary team meetings.

      · Under supervision, supervises and trains Practicum students. Regularly attends and participates in the Psychology Training Committee.

      · Actively participates in the quality improvement process.

      · Actively participates in utilization review performance improvement.

      Required

      Education

      · Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree required.

      · Doctoral student with a BA, MA, and/or MS in an APA-accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program.

      Experience

      · All coursework required for the doctoral degree must be completed prior to the start of the internship year, as well as any qualifying, comprehensive, or preliminary doctoral examinations.

      · Approval for internship status by graduate program training director.

      · A minimum of 250 direct intervention and 50 direct assessment hours of supervised graduate level pre-internship practicum experience.
