What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and update training materials and presentations for clients and stakeholders
- Provide direct end-user education and technical assistance
- Test applications and provide feedback to software developers and quality-assurance technicians
- Communicate clients' needs to business and technical resources by developing business requirements
- Support troubleshooting of technical problems with end users or groups

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree in public health or other health-science field with four (4) years of relevant work experience, or Bachelor's degree with six (6) years of relevant work experience
- Experience with public-health surveillance systems and understanding of key principles and practices of surveillance
- Ability to effectively communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to manage various deadlines and priorities

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience using CDC NHSN data or working with NHSN
- Familiarity with CDC and/or Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements for submitting NHSN data
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Demonstrated ability to work in a distributed, team-oriented, and collaborative environment with federal partners
