What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute cohesive press releases and creative storylines for brands
- Identify trends for brands through custom pitches and storylines
- Maintain and organize a PR database, responding to media information requests as needed
- Liaise between clients and media, analyzing niches and competition
- Engage with social media and maintain a network of content creators
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Prior experience with public relations and social media
- Flawless written and spoken English
- Ability to write and distribute press releases
- Experience with services like HARO and MuckRack
- Availability to work 40 hours per week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm PST
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Background in Journalism or media training
- Established professional relationships with writers, journalists, bloggers, and influencers
- Experience leveraging platforms like Reddit and Quora for PR strategies
- Proven track record of published and placed content on authoritative sites
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills
