What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the overall health and performance of the employer's PR program in collaboration with senior management
- Direct the PR content calendar for specific brands to enhance earned media coverage
- Write, edit, and pitch press releases and other content to external audiences
- Develop relationships with key reporters and coordinate media interviews
- Analyze and share findings from internally-run surveys with the press
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of media relations experience with a history of pitching content to the press
- Proven track record of securing press coverage
- Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, public relations, or a related field
- Experience translating survey data into meaningful insights for external audiences
- Knowledge of PR software platforms, such as CISION
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Background working at a PR agency
- Existing relationships with reporters at national publications with a focus on business and career topics
- Understanding of job search, career, and job market-related trends
- Familiarity with SEO best practices
- Experience running and analyzing internal surveys
