The Purchase Clearing Team Lead position provides direction, instructions, and guidance to the team of coordinators. Provides expert support on the loan flow in Purchase Clearing, and the loan process (application to funding).

Position Location: Remote, work from home

Position Details: Permanent, Full-Time

What you will do:

• Team Lead
  • Assists with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Purchase Clearing Team under the direct supervision of a manager
  • Monitors team members' participation to ensure the training they have been provided is being put into use, and also determines if any additional training is needed
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with each team member to review their pipeline and identify any opportunities for assistance
  • Produce regularly scheduled reporting to the leadership team. This will include pulling, creating, pivoting, interpreting, and summarizing data.
  • Provides regular feedback to leadership regarding team members’ performance
  • Works with leadership to develop a strategy the team will use to reach its goals based on performance data, feedback, and team observation
  • Collaborates with external parties on weekly calls to discuss pipeline and curative measures
  • Provides top-tier level of customer service, including fast and accurate responses via telephone, email,and instant message
  • Leads or participates in training and onboarding and cross-training of team members.
• Purchase Clearing
  • Review and monitor unresolved loans to prevent aging.
  • Perform periodic audits and QC reviews of the team pipeline.
  • Reviews loan escalations from team members and leadership.
  • Responsible for a pipeline of loans that may be more complex or specialized in nature.
  • Uses resources available to assist in resolving issues and research above and beyond normal avenues (i.e. intranet, Allregs, Knowledge Owl, FHA Connection, etc.).
  • Provide direct team support by assisting with loan reviews and daily production tasks in times of team member absence or high volume and overflow.
  • Attend and participate in regular team meetings, training, and discussions.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all systems and functions of the team.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of related experience.
• 2+ years experience in Post Closing
• Demonstrated experience producing accurate and detailed work on multiple projects under time pressure.
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of mortgage loan documents
• Solid knowledge and understanding of warehouse bank and investor guidelines.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of a variety of State Housing Finance Agency programs.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of reporting, pulling data, organizing to forecast volume, and spotting trends
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Excel (pivot tables, v lookups)
• Solid knowledge and understanding of the life of a loan after funding.
