What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams
- Collaborate with architects to define and maintain a scalable software architecture
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects in accordance with Agile/Scrum practices
- Drive initiatives to enhance engineering effectiveness and improve system architecture
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Advanced skills in Python and experience using ORM frameworks (e.g., SQLAlchemy, Django)
- Proven track record overseeing the development of large and complex projects
- Experience with relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with internal technical staff and stakeholders
- Practical experience analyzing requirements and the ability to quickly learn new technical skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with Flask, MongoDB, Kafka, TypeScript, and AWS
- Familiarity with statically typed Python codebases
- Experience defining, implementing, or supporting software in the financial services industry (traditional finance or crypto)
- Knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD)
