      QA Program Director Laboratory Strategy

      The Opportunity

      The QA Program Director Laboratory Strategy is responsible for defining and executing AN’s integrated global Laboratory Strategy to ensure effective operation of all AN laboratories through established governance, optimized operating models and global standards.

      Partners with cross-functional business leaders and key stakeholders to identify integrated laboratory solutions and opportunities that will reduce compliance risk, drive global standardization, allow for data analytics and improve efficiencies by minimizing non-value-added activities.

      Leads a team of subject matter experts and engineers that are responsible for executing and implementing complex, global projects based on the latest insights and technology in the industry.

      What You’ll Work On

      • Develop and manage the Laboratory Strategy and roadmap for Abbott Nutrition. Effectively communicate the AN’s Laboratory Strategy and how it will meet and address key objectives to business partners and leaders
      • Assure the laboratory quality systems are in compliance with International Regulations and Standards as well as Corporate and Division policies and procedures.
      • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and opportunities to implement scalable and sustainable solutions utilizing cutting-edge technologies and integrated laboratory (data management) systems.
      • Define global strategies to create, optimize and maintain industry leading laboratory systems and operational performance ensuring the integrity and validity of test results and ultimately the safety of all AN products.
      • Establish global laboratory policies and standards and ensure consistent roll-out and implementation across AN’s global network.
      • Proactively partner with R&D and Engineering in developing and implementing new, innovative testing solutions across the global network.
      • Global quality division owner for innovative programs to advance laboratory performance (High Performance Labs, Lean Lab, Risk Management, Change Management, Data Analytics, Digital Lab’s)
      • Own global Laboratory Asset Management Program, including capital and project expense tracking, plan/LBE development.
      • Create operational cost models to support analysis and management of plant/division goals. Performs bench marking and cost structure analysis to define significant opportunities for improvement (including Third Party Lab spend)
      • Establish sustainable processes to evaluate capacity and/or cost evaluation and modeling for the global laboratory network.
      • Provide quality oversight to AN’s Material of Interest Program. Identify (potential) risks, design and implement mitigation strategies ensuring AN’s products are meeting global, regional and local expectations.

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) Chemistry, (Micro) Biology, Operations Management, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field
      • Minimum 10 years’ experience:

      Working in a matrix environment

      • Minimum 5 years’ experience:

      Leading a team & Experience leading complex projects

      Quality Systems: Understanding of quality systems and requirements.

      Working in a laboratory environment (i.e. clinical lab, analytical lab, research lab)

      Regulatory Standards: Knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements for infant and nutritional products

      $147,300.00 – $294,700.00
