Essential Functions:
Application Review and Verification
- Review applications and documentation for quality and accuracy set by the program guidance.
- Verify the accuracy of supporting documentation in applicant files.
- Ensure applicant files meet program guidelines and applicable government regulations.
Process Improvements and Documentation
- Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, and organize documentation related to QA/QC reviews performed.
- Review reports and provide daily performance status updates.
Policy Development and Problem Solving
- Draft and review policies as needed or assigned.
- Identify problems and offer resolutions.
- Perform reviews of private and commercial insurance policies and related claims for FEMA Duplication of Benefit determinations.
Additional Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related field, OR, 4+ years of relevant experience in quality control, case management, application processing, grant-funded government programs, or other relevant fields.
- Experience with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (HUD CDBG) and/or FEMA disaster recovery programs, as well as other applicable federal disaster recovery efforts is strongly encouraged. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience in QA/QC in FEMA-funded programs as well as experience in Duplication of Benefits determination.
- Proficient in Outlook, and Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, etc.
- Previous experience working in a Salesforce environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settings.
