Quality Engineer II will prepa re a utomation execution plans and test scripts associated with it .
Be well versed on current testing practices such as BDD and CI/CD
E nhanc e test automation solutions working closely with developers and business in an a gile development practice
Participate in full testing life cycle, including agile ceremonies , test case identification/development, functional testing, and user acceptance testing .
Represent testing team in project meetings and solution discussions
Work closely with an experienced staff comprising both Synchrony and vendor engineering teams.
Communicate the status of testing sta tus and initiative s to agile stakeholder s
Keep abreast of emerging testing technologies and techniques while maintaining proficiency in existing technologies
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Information Technology; OR 2) In lieu of the bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology
Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Engineering processes , automation and proficiency in associated languages
Experience in GUI, API/Webservices/Database automated testing
Minimum 2 years of experience in preparing automation framework with parallel execution (either on-prem or cloud) with various test types, integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Selenium based automation and its eco-system (TestNG/Junit, Maven/Gradle, Cross-browser test etc.)
Experience in testing applications using microservices architecture and cloud-based technologies.
Experience in Agile application development methodology ; BDD experience would be a plus.
Experience preparing POCs for latest testing tools and trends and getting that implemented.
Ability to achieve results in a cross-functional matrix organization involving multiple technologies, personnel, and processes
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Role Summary/Purpose:
T he Quality Engineer II is a technical specialist who creat es automation environments and code for repeated tests on several of Synchrony’s client- facing platform s , ensuring the deliver y of high-quality solutions on those platforms . The ideal candidate will work with business and developers to create automated testing scripts to ensure product quality within the realms of agile environment.

The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
