Serve as the primary point of contact for Quality Engineering, owning all QA deliverables

Maintain and enforce an automation-first, contract-first testing approach

Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and test approaches
-
Design, develop, and customize test automation frameworks based on project needs

Identify opportunities to replace manual testing with automation
-
Perform and guide manual, automation, API, regression, performance, and stress testing
-
Lead defect management, including prioritization, root cause analysis, retesting, and defect prevention

Coordinate bug triage across business, development, and testing teams
-
Establish and publish test execution reports, defect metrics, QA dashboards, and trends
-
Mentor QA team members on Agile/Scrum practices, testing tools, and automation scripting
-
Review business requirements, identify gaps, and ensure full test coverage of business use cases

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts throughout the SDLC
-
Participate in architecture reviews, design reviews, and client meetings
-
Manage and execute load and stress testing using enterprise testing tools
-
Maintain physical, virtualized, and simulated test environments
-
Support CI/CD pipelines and in-sprint automation for continuous testing

3+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot (backend architecture and integrations)

3+ years of experience with Angular (UI and component testing)
-
2+ years of experience with Couchbase or NoSQL databases, including data validation and security
-
2+ years of experience with MS SQL Server, including complex SQL queries
-
5+ years of experience in API testing (REST/SOAP using Postman, Swagger, SOAP UI)
-
5+ years of experience in automation testing (Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber)
-
5+ years of experience in manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory)
-
5+ years of experience in performance and stress testing (JMeter, Dynatrace, Nexthink)

Strong experience creating test plans, test cases, and test data
-
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, and Git
-
Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology and in-sprint automation
-
Ability to provide QA metrics and insights to leadership
-
Mobile test automation experience
-
Experience leading QA teams in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
-
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale testing strategies and automation infrastructure

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Position Overview
The Senior Quality Engineer (QA) is responsible for leading quality assurance efforts for modern web applications built using Java Spring Boot, Angular, Couchbase, and MS SQL Server. This role follows an automation-first approach and covers manual testing, test automation, API testing, and performance/stress testing. The Senior QE serves as the primary QA lead, ensuring quality standards, test strategy, and delivery excellence across Agile teams.
