      Quality Engineers are core delivery team members responsible for the validation of functional and nonfunctional requirements implemented by a team. They are responsible for decomposing the functional and technical requirements created by Product Owners and Systems Analysts into test scripts. Quality Engineers raise defects as issues are identified and support the remediation process with teams.

      The SAP Global Finance department is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer who will be responsible for driving the test automation efforts over numerous Finance applications and to help us elevate our teams to the next level. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Quality Engineer with a track record of delivering quality software solutions, with experience automating large scale, multi-system integrated applications. These solutions will span SAP, iSeries, and cloud-based initiatives, supporting applications across the U.S., Canada, and international regions.

      We are seeking a highly organized, results-driven Quality Engineer with demonstrated experience in our automation development suite which include Tricentis Tosca and LiveCompare. In addition to deep technical knowledge in our toolset, the ideal candidate will excel at effectively coaching and mentoring team members on these technologies, and leading development teams to ensure high-quality project outcomes. The candidate must be able to participate in multiple initiatives concurrently.

      ROLE

      Defines the testing strategy and approach to validate new or enhanced functionality implemented by teams.

      Collaborates with team members to decompose functional and nonfunctional requirements into test scripts and scenarios.

      Determines test dependencies including QA test environment, QA tools, training, build and deployment plans, intra-team dependencies, and communication processes.

      Creates and executes manual and automated test scripts to validate the acceptance criteria defined within the epics and user stories implemented by team members.

      Develops manual test cases for all functional and non-functional requirements and collaborates with development team members to identify candidates for test case automation.

      Identifies risks impacting the timely delivery of a given product and collaborates with team members to prepare mitigation strategies.

      Designs, develops, and maintains automated test scripts; execute automated test scripts and analyze results.

      Designs and implements comprehensive test data management solutions; creates and leverages automation during all phases of the test process.

      Develops comprehensive documentation of testing requirements, strategies, and procedures.

      Leads development effort for team of automation developers; providing oversight, mentorship and guidance.

      Collaborates with development, QA, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and successful project implementation.

      Implements and maintains automation frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing.

      Integrates automation tests with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

      Authors test cases according to standards and prepares required test data.

      Provides guidance and support on test automation best practices to the QA/QE team.

      Drives adoption of standards and best practices for software testing, tests development, and automation.

      Coordinates the resolution of internal and external dependencies across value streams and shared services.

      Provides accurate estimates for projects, including QE resourcing and testing schedules.

      Collaborates with onshore, offshore, and project team members as needed for project success.

      Mentors and guides members of the team to increase skills and productivity.

      Sets clear expectations for self and the project team, and takes appropriate actions to ensure obligations are met.

      Fulfills other duties as assigned.

      REQUIRED

      Minimum 7 years software quality assurance experience.

      Minimum 5 years of hands-on automation design and development experience utilizing the Tricentis Tosca automation suite. Expert level experience in the following:

      Design and Development: Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for SAP, iSeries/AS400 (Rumba), UC4 workflow, MQ, Web applications, etc, using Tricentis TOSCA.

      Hands on experience in deploying and utilizing Tricentis Tosca Commander for large-scale enterprise applications particularly those involving SAP

      Test Execution: Executing automated test scripts and analyzing results.

      Defect Management: Reporting and managing defects, including logging them in a bug tracking tool and working with development teams for resolution.

      Test Environment: Contributing to the setup and configuration of test environments.

      Test Data Management - Designing and implementing comprehensive test data management solutions, specifically utilizing the Tosca TDM solution.

      Documentation: Developing comprehensive documentation of testing requirements, strategies, and procedures.

      Leadership: Leads development effort for team of TOSCA developers; providing oversight, mentorship and guidance

      Collaboration: Collaborating with development, QA, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and successful project implementation.

      Automation Framework: Implementing and maintaining TOSCA automation frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing.

      Optimization: Identifying and implementing optimizations to improve automation script efficiency and reusability.

      CI/CD Integration: Integrating TOSCA tests with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

      Test Case Design: Authoring test cases according to standards and preparing required test data.

      Tool Proficiency: Demonstrating proficiency in TOSCA modules, test case design, execution, and reporting. Demonstrated proficiency in LiveCompare, comprehensive knowledge of LiveCompare functional utilization for continuous testing and risk management. Working knowledge of NeoLoad.

      Best Practices: Providing guidance and support on test automation best practices to the QA/QE team.

      Recommended

      Experience working with Financial Control systems, SAP, iSeries, and various Material Management systems.

      Working knowledge of NeoLoad and LiveCompare tools.

      Degree in computer science or a related technical field.

      Understanding of web services, SOAP, REST, and XML concepts and technologies.

      Database knowledge in a major RDBMS system such as: HANA, DB2, MS SQL Server, or Oracle.

      Solid understanding of build tools and software configuration management standards.

      Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.

      Pay Ranges:

      Level 1 - $85,000 - $110,000

      Level 2 - $105,000 - $135,000

      Level 3 - $130,000 - $160,000

      Level SR - $150,000 - $190,000, Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible

      Level Staff - $180,000 - $225,000, Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible
