Job Description

- This position reports directly to the Quality Manager.
- With focus on Customer Satisfaction, the individual will implement best quality practices, drive continuous quality improvement and ensure compliance with PCC and customer policies.
- Incumbent will perform quality engineering duties associated with control and improvement of product quality. Position will work closely with manufacturing, sales and purchasing personnel as well as external suppliers and customers.
- Will be directly responsible for a major OEM account. Dealing with all issues and directing Quality technicians through day-to-day tasks.
- Conduct part specific quality planning of new parts in accordance with appropriate quality control manual (QCM).
- Develop work Instructions from customer-supplied specifications.
- Approve part router in accordance with PCC procedures and customer specifications.
- Review customer supplied specifications to PCC capabilities.
- Negotiate with customers to align customer specifications to PCC capabilities where necessary.
- Review all non-conforming material for disposition, utilizing the report of non-conformance (RNC) system.
- Manage non-conformance submittals to customer and negotiate disposition.
- Initiate request for corrective action (RCA) from internal and external customers.
- Review returned goods (RGs) for valid/non-valid return.
- Conduct external audits of PCC suppliers.
- Conduct internal audits of PCC process/process.
- Conduct internal audits of PCC quality system.
- Release product to be shipped as an authorized Quality Representative of the customer.
- May supervise other engineers or technicians on assigned projects.
- Identify and address safety considerations within the scope of their job responsibilities.
- Requires a BS degree in engineering with 5-8 years relevant experience, or a MS degree in engineering with 3-4 years relevant experience OR equivalent aerospace industry experience.
- Broad knowledge of quality principles as well as manufacturing standards that relate to production of investment castings.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
