      We are seeking an Engineering Technologist – Quality Engineering (E2) to support APQP launch activities, Supplier PPAP and launch readiness. This role will play a key part in ensuring smooth product launches, supplier quality compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

      Job Duties & Responsibilities: 1. APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) & Launch Support

      • Lead APQP activities for new product launches, ensuring compliance with customer-specific requirements and IATF 16949.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Suppliers) to meet program milestones.
      • Conduct feasibility reviews with suppliers to assess readiness for production.
      • Support the implementation of Safe Launch Plans and quality checks before mass production.

      2. Supplier PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) & Compliance

      • Review and approve Supplier PPAP submissions (including MSA, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans).
      • Ensure all PPAP documentation meets AIAG and customer standards before launch.
      • Work with suppliers to resolve non-conformances and corrective actions related to PPAP submissions.
      • Conduct on-site supplier audits to verify process capability and quality system compliance.

      3. Supplier Development & Monitoring

      • Assist in supplier risk assessments, and capability studies.
      • Lead supplier issue resolution using 8D or 5Whys, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Action Plans.
      • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality at Launch

      4. Quality Standards & Compliance

      • Ensure supplier adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
      • Support internal and external audits related to supplier quality.
      • Assist in problem-solving activities using Core Tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, APQP).

      Must-Haves:

      Education: Diploma or Degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
      Experience:

      • 3+ years in Quality Engineering, Supplier Development, or APQP/PPAP activities in an automotive manufacturing environment.
      • Hands-on experience with Supplier PPAP, APQP, and Core Tools.

      Technical Skills:

      • Strong understanding of IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA).
      • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and process flow diagrams.

      Problem-Solving: Experience with 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Action Plans.
      Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to work with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to drive quality improvements.
      Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Minitab, or other statistical tools.
      Travel: Ability to travel to supplier locations when needed.

      Nice-to-Haves (Wants):

      • Experience with launch activities in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier
      • Certification in CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
      • Experience with supplier audits and VDA 6.3 process assessments
      • Familiarity with customer portals (Ford, Stellantis, Honda, Toyota)
