      Salary Range: $23.1800 - $35.6200 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

      Job Summary:

      The Quality Improvement Assistant is a member of Hoag Clinic’s Quality Improvement team who is responsible for coordinating quality care gaps for Hoag Clinic’s managed care members by providing any needed services and support to ensure compliance in quality programs. The Quality Improvement Assistant will be responsible for the daily management of the managed care patient population by coordinating delivery of quality services through appropriate appointment setting, point of care testing, outreach, and coordinating the closure of needed quality care gaps.

      This role leads and coordinates special projects aimed at closing quality care gap reports specific assigned site(s). Support provider and medical assistant teams with daily Quality Improvement tasks such as comparing schedule with due list(s), downloading point of care report(s), and preparing per protocol orders. Reviews quality reporting system to search for patients who have created sameday appointments and are due for screenings and tests to close quality care gaps.

      The Quality Improvement Assistant displays and practices a work-style that reflects the mission, vision and values of the Hoag Clinic as well as Hoag Hospital. Participates in the continuous Quality Improvement process, maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures, including the use of specialized instrumentation, Quality Control requirements, and preventive maintenance.

      Education and Experience:

      Bachelor’s degree required or at least four (4) years in a healthcare system environment

      Experience or familiarity with front-office or scheduling procedures in healthcare system environment

      Basic keyboarding skills at 35 WPM

      Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel

      Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates preferred

      Preferred:

      Certification as a Medical Assistant by an accredited program

      BLS certification
