      MISSIONS:

      • Manages the improvement of IES Supplier Quality Performance (product and service) across his assigned perimeter, through effective problem resolution and escalation processes.
      • Supports plants in the reduction of supplier Non Conformities (NCN), Cost Recovery, and management of poor performing suppliers and crisis.
      • Ensures Supplier issues are risk managed effectively.
      • Contributes to the development and improvement of supplier quality processes, standards and trainings.

      MAIN ACTIVITIES:

      1.0 Contribute to the selection of new suppliers in accordance with quality and purchasing strategy.
      • Evaluate (audit) new potential suppliers in accordance with purchasing strategy.
      • Prepare for and participate at all Sourcing Committees, provide motivated recommendations and prevent incorrect sourcing decisions.

      2.0 Manage the development and improvement of suppliers.
      • Build and manage supplier quality progress plans in order to achieve IES quality objectives and support purchasing commodity strategy.
      • Evaluate supplier performance in serial life (with the support of plants). Manage the audits of suppliers when necessary. (e.g. VDA 6.3, Technical audits)
      • Communicate and train suppliers on IES and OEM requirements as part of the supplier development plan.
      • Lead the actions of quality improvement of selected suppliers: “quality key suppliers” process.

      3.0 Support plants in the reduction of Demerits & CNQ for suppliers.
      • Support plant SQE in the management of supplier non quality.
      • Make sure that IES supplier quality processes and standards are followed by PO plants and SILS: NCN management, Escalation L0, cost recovery, re-qualification audits, Quality key suppliers management, incoming inspection etc… Train and coach plant SQE when necessary.
      • Lead and manage IES “Supplier Escalation Process”, and lead negotiations of larger claims together with operations and purchasing management.
      • Make sure that communication and continuous improvement is active between supplier and PO teams.

      4.0 Support Program management during the launch phase
      • Provide support where program SE’s have difficulty in obtaining APQP deliverables on time and in the right quality the SDL shall support.
      • Support Program teams in supplier conflict resolution w.r.t agreements, specifications and accountabilities.

      5.0 Contribute to the development and improvement of supplier quality processes, standards and trainings.
      • Share knowledge and experience inside IES. Prepare Lessons Learned and good practices based on experience of supplier quality management. Ensure communication of these documents in the IES Lessons Learned database.
      • Prepare trainings on supplier quality processes and standards, and train IES relevant teams (other SDL, SQE, SE, buyers …).
      • Keep abreast to industry changes. Provide inputs, ideas, recommendations to continuously improve supplier quality processes, tools and standards.

      REQUIREMENTS:

      University degree BSc or MSc or equivalent.

      5 years’ experience in Automotive industry, Purchasing, Quality or program management background.

      Technical knowledge of one or several purchased commodities (chrome parts, metal parts, injected plastic parts, fasteners, paint, resin, glue, process means, logistic…)

      Automotive global requirements,

      Good English proficiency

      Live in Greer, surrounding areas or willing to relocate.
