What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and enhance risk rating models for commercial loans, ensuring regulatory compliance and accuracy
- Analyze financial and loan-level data from various sources to inform model development
- Maintain detailed documentation of model development processes for transparency
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate models into the bank's systems
- Monitor model performance and provide recommendations for adjustments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in financial, statistical, or quantitative analysis OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in financial, statistical, or quantitative analysis
- Strong proficiency in statistical modeling techniques and programming languages such as Python
- Experience in developing risk rating models for commercial loans in the banking sector
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Familiarity with SQL and data mining techniques
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics
- Proven experience with supervised and unsupervised algorithms in quantitative risk modeling
- Expertise in writing efficient, reproducible code and generating analytical reports
- Knowledge of statistical theory, including sampling methods and hypothesis testing
- Experience with data wrangling and automation techniques
